New electric bus in Cagliari: it is the first of seven vehicles with pantograph (recharging via trolleybus line) that will make the Ctm fleet greener. The peculiarity was pointed out by the president of the local public transport consortium Carlo Arba: "It is the first bus in Europe with a pantograph - he explained shortly before the ribbon was cut in Piazza Matteotti - with this size. And now another six are arriving. vehicles of the same type ".

Another step towards full electrification. The fleet will be equipped with ten short electric vehicles of six meters: in addition to the three already in line (with electric cable charging), four will be placed on lines 10 in Cagliari and three on lines 40 in Quartu.

Also present at the baptism of the new vehicle were the mayors of Cagliari and Quartu Paolo Truzzu and Graziano Milia. "About 20% - continued Arba - of the fleet will already be electric. And we will continue on this path".

The purchase of another 18 12-meter electric buses of the new generation is on the way: the goal is to reach 30 percent of electric vehicles as soon as possible.

Awarded 108 million by the ministry of infrastructures: "They will allow us - explained the mayor Paolo Truzzu - to purchase electric and hydrogen vehicles, but not only: we will also provide for the purchase and adaptation of the infrastructures".
