His photo rests on the coffin. Next to it, that of his daughter, found dead 31 years ago in Tuvixeddu in circumstances still being investigated by the Cagliari prosecutor's office. Giorgio Murgia passed away without knowing the truth , without knowing the reason for the terrible end of his daughter, taken away at just 16 years old.
"Goodbye, Dad. Today we said goodbye to you for the last time, surrounded by a sea of people who loved you, just as you deserved," Murgia's children wrote today. "You were an extraordinary man. Even when the pain of losing your beloved Manuela, thirty years ago, seemed unbearable, you never gave up: you were the rock for our six children, raising each of us without ever letting us go without anything, with a dedication that still leaves us breathless today," the message continues.
"Now, finally, the circle is complete. We imagine you there, at peace, as you return to embrace your Manuela. Thank you for all the love you gave us and for being the example you were."
