Cagliari, large fire near the houses in via Sarrabus

A large fire broke out just before midday in an abandoned area next to via Sarrabus, in the Cagliari district of Is Mirrionis.

The flames, according to what we learn, started from piles of waste which had become increasingly higher over time, despite continuous reports from residents of the area.

A thick column of black smoke enveloped a building, with residents taking to the streets due to the unbreathable air.

On site, at work, some fire brigade teams, supported by civil protection vehicles. The fire is difficult to reach: access is blocked by a building.
