Traffic chaos in the center of Cagliari due to the temporary closure of the lane that allows turning onto Viale Diaz from the Piazza Deffenu roundabout.

The Civil Protection barriers and plastic New Jersey barriers were put in place yesterday evening, following a report from the Fire Brigade, after debris fell from the eighth-floor facade of the Enel building.

Work to make the road safe is currently underway , but there is still uncertainty about the timeframe: it could be completed today or even on Monday.

Meanwhile, the road closure is causing significant disruption for those arriving from Via Roma, on the Lungomare side, and from Viale Colombo, forcing motorists to take long detours even to reach Viale Regina Margherita.
