Another garrison in the prefecture of Cagliari to ask for the closure of the Rwm, the bomb factory in Domusnovas owned by the German group Rheinmetall. Pacifists and environmentalists are also calling for an emergency plan to be prepared in case of accidents.

"We are faced with an activity with a high risk of a major accident: it is necessary for the prefecture to prepare an external emergency plan", explains Graziano Bullegas, president of Italia nostra Sardegna and pacifist. “However, we reiterate the concept: this factory, in these conditions of insecurity, cannot continue to work. So we ask for closure until this plan is ready, then we'll see ”.

Another element underlined by the pacifists is the fact that in that area "a river at risk of flooding" passes. “Enough poisoned bread” and “Stop Rwm” are some of the eloquent banners of the demonstrators, a delegation of which was received in the prefecture.

"The PEE (external emergency plan) currently in force - explain the demonstrators - appears completely inadequate, because it does not take into account the real nature of production, nor the current configuration of the plants and production facilities located close to the urban center of Iglesias, nor of the hydrogeological risk linked to the presence of the Rio Gutturu Mannu - Rio Figu, which crosses the area of the plant and which the hydraulic compatibility studies of the municipality of Domusnovas and that of the recently approved municipality of Iglesias consider very much at risk of flooding high".
