"Trees are not cut but they are loved" . This is the slogan that accompanied the ecological sit-in staged in Cagliari , which was attended by environmental associations, movements and residents worried about the fate of greenery in the city .

The participants in the demonstration embraced the trees of Viale Cimitero , launching harsh criticism of the municipal administration , for the cuts and topping of the last months.

Concern was expressed for the fate of the plants in the areas of the subway yards and for the jacarandas of Largo Carlo Felice: "They are wasted - said an agronomist expert - they are suffering from topping".

But pay attention also to viale Trieste: "Our administration - said Stefano Deliperi del Grig - wants to remove an avenue of Ficus to replace them with Chinese trees that do not cast a shadow. We must keep our eyes open".
