Seven drug deals in 45 minutes . This is the very fast pace of drug dealing in Cagliari's red zone , where four dealers were arrested yesterday during extraordinary police checks.

The operation was carried out by members of the Flying Squad, along with crews from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue – Flying Squads and operators from the Crime Prevention Unit.

The Mobile Hawks, stationed near Piazza Matteotti and Piazza del Carmine , observed the movements from afar and discreetly and managed to document, even filming, seven drug deals in three quarters of an hour.

Three Algerians and a Moroccan, part of a single organization, were arrested . Perfectly coordinated, they were responsible not only for individual drug deals but also for identifying potential buyers.

Regularly registered throughout the country, they have numerous criminal records, some serious: property crimes, muggings, and robberies, mostly committed in the Marina district . One had already been arrested in September on Via Sassari for drug dealing.

During subsequent searches, the officers seized the drugs, already divided into doses, and a knife.
