Like every summer, public transport also aligns itself with the rhythm of the summer season that invests Cagliari between days at the beach and evenings outdoors.

Starting tomorrow, July 1st, Ctm activates its summer network: lines dedicated to the beaches, strengthening of night connections and updates to urban frequencies. A system designed for those who stay in the city, for those who work, but also - and above all - for those who want to reach Poetto without stress or traffic.

Among the most anticipated innovations, the “sea” lines are back, those that connect the center and the peripheral neighborhoods with the Cagliari coast . The Poetto Express, for example, leaves every 24 minutes from Piazza Matteotti and goes to the Marino Hospital, cutting through traffic and full parking lots. The 5ZE, on the other hand, connects the San Michele Park with the sea with a frequency of 14 minutes: an ecological and smart choice even for those coming from the innermost areas of the city.

Then there is the historic and panoramic line 11, which connects the Amsicora stadium with Calamosca, passing through some of the most beautiful areas of the seafront. And for those coming from Quartu, the QS represents a fast and regular solution, with frequencies between 17 and 20 minutes.

Even the city lines adapt to the season. The 29, which connects San Benedetto to the University Hospital of Monserrato, maintains service from Monday to Saturday, with a light but constant frequency. The 9, however, remains active every day between Decimomannu and Piazza Matteotti, even if – as per summer tradition – the limited runs to Assemini are suspended.

Particular attention to the Uex, a line dedicated to university users: it remains active, but with a stop between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm on weekdays and with a more reduced service on Saturdays, which ends at 3:30 pm.

One of the real novelties of recent years – now become a welcome routine – is the night service. Lines 1, 9, 30, 30R, PF and 7 extend their runs beyond midnight, touching central and peripheral neighborhoods. For example, line 1 leaves from via Gioia also at 00:35, while 7 leaves piazza Yenne at 00:40, covering the entire route up to Villanova.

In addition, every Saturday night until 5:00 in the morning, the “ER” (Red External), “L” (Litoranea), 1N and 9N lines are activated : a small night-time metro system, useful for those who live on weekends or work in the most critical hours.
