«Good morning, we would like the annual card that you advertise on social media ». In recent days at the CTM headquarters, in Viale Trieste, numerous people are showing up who have found an apparently unrepeatable offer on Facebook: an annual card at the price of 2.35 euros for an unlimited number of trips on all lines.

The photo posted on the social network shows a Ctm card and, in the background, real buses. But it is a very well thought out scam which many would have already fallen for by clicking on the link found on a specially created page called "The annual gift card for transport" and following the guided procedure that leads the unsuspecting citizen to pay the money. The money, of course, does not go to the CTM but directly to the scammers.

The company has already filed a complaint with the postal police, reported the page to Meta, the company that owns the most popular social network among boomers, and also spread the news of the scam on its Facebook page.

“Attention, fake news,” it is written. «There is no Ctm card that at a cost of 2.35 euros allows you to make unlimited trips. It's fake news. All information and official news can only be found on www.ctmcagliari.it and on the official CTM Facebook page."
