A class (the first A) composed almost entirely of foreign students, another (the first B) with children who are almost all Italian. This is the scenario that has been created in the Satta elementary school in Cagliari. Parents speak of a “ghetto-class”, the school principal Elizabeth Piras Trombi Abibatu defends herself and explains the reasons for her actions. «There is no ghettoization, someone is instead exploiting the situation. The classes were composed according to the requests of the families at the time of registration, in the end we tried to accommodate everyone's requests».
For about ten days inside the institute on via Crispi there has been talk of nothing else. On one side there is the discontent of the teachers, who not even in a whisper ask to reset everything, on the other that of the parents of foreign children who ask "not to isolate our children". Then there are the families of the Italians who instead threaten to transfer to another school if it were to be decided to redo the composition of the classes.
