They were caught by the Carabinieri during the night in Cagliari while stealing from a car parked in via Ausonia. Two thirty-year-olds originally from Morocco and Algeria , but long-time residents on the island, were therefore arrested, a measure validated this morning in court in Cagliari.
According to what has emerged, the two criminals, an agricultural worker and a freelancer resident in Uta and Senorbì, both already known to the police, allegedly forced open a Fiat "500", stealing two suitcases and two backpacks belonging to two tourists visiting the city. At the sight of the police, the two made a move to flee but then gave up without putting up any resistance. The stolen goods were then immediately recovered by the military who intervened on the scene and returned to their rightful owners, who promptly filed a complaint against the two men.
