A new direct CTM bus service for university students has been in service in Cagliari since today. The 10S line, departing at 8:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. from Via Pessina on the Court side to the Teaching Center on Via Is Mirrionis, was inaugurated this morning by Fabrizio Rodin, president of the local public transport company, and Bruno Useli, general manager.

The electric buses, which operate Monday through Saturday and on school days during class entry and exit times, take about 20 minutes to travel from Piazza Repubblica to the Sa Duchessa complex . In the coming days, a hostess will provide detailed information to passengers at the Via Pessina stop.

Additionally, a service to the Pitagora Scientific High School in Selargius has been added to route 17, running Monday through Saturday with 12-meter buses. Both new features, introduced on a trial basis, are visible on the Busfinder app.

"The technical discussions established with local organizations," Rodin explains, "are enabling us to precisely identify critical issues and address them in a targeted manner. This is the method CTM intends to apply to the service: listening to those who experience the service every day and translating it into operational solutions."

In detail, here is the route of the new 10S line : Piazza Repubblica, Via Alghero, Via Sonnino, Via XX Settembre, Via Roma, Viale Trieste, Via Pola, Viale Merello, Piazza d'Armi, Via Is Mirrionis (turn around at the roundabout with Via Cadello). Return departures from Via Is Mirrionis (opposite Magistero) at 8:25 a.m., Viale Merello, Via De Magistris, Via Sauro, Viale Trieste, Via Roma, Via XX Settembre, Via Sonnino, Via Alghero, Piazza Repubblica. In the late morning, departures are scheduled from Via Is Mirrionis at 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m., and from Piazza Repubblica at 1:20 p.m.

As for the additional service for Pitagora students , CTM's 17S bus service covers the morning school hours and the mid-day return journey. Departure is scheduled from San Gottardo at 8:00 a.m., arriving at the high school at approximately 8:15 a.m. The bus stop is number 490 on Via I Maggio, in front of the school. Buses follow the regular route of line 17 to Via della Libertà, then continue on Via Trieste, Via Parigi, Via della Resistenza, and Via I Maggio. The return journey from Pitagora is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and arrives at San Gottardo around 1:45 p.m., following the reverse route.
