Two people were arrested during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday as part of the investigation into the tragic death of Mario Mulas , the 75-year-old man who was found dead on Sunday morning in the square of the family business in Viale Elmas in Cagliari, after a flight of about six meters from the window of the building where he was staying.

They are a man and a woman aged 39 and 46. The alleged crime is aggravated robbery in conspiracy.

Yesterday the van was found which had disappeared from the square on the very day the lifeless body was found.

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Cagliari and the detectives of the flying squad investigating the case had immediately excluded the hypothesis of a voluntary act .

The phone and wallet were also missing from the deceased businessman's house, so much so that the robbery was then hypothesized .

The public prosecutor in charge of the file, deputy prosecutor Rita Cariello, this morning had planned to entrust some unrepeatable technical investigations but the appointment was postponed to allow the suspects to appoint their own trusted experts.

In the meantime, the prosecutor would have gone to prison for questioning.

To track down the two suspects, both homeless, viewing images from various cameras in the city was essential.

Investigations continue to clarify other aspects of the story and to ascertain the involvement of the two arrested subjects and any other people in the man's death.
