Dozens of heavy agricultural vehicles and hundreds of citizens with children in tow first invaded the center of Oschiri and then Sassari-Olbia in protest against the decision of Anas to close the "Diana bridge to traffic , due to stability problems." " , infrastructure that overlooks a stretch of Lake Coghinas along the state road 392.

The procession started from the industrial area of Oschiri , traveled inside the town and then entered road 597 towards Madonna di Castro , to then return to rejoin the demonstrators on foot in the roundabout at the entrance to the town .

The route chosen by the demonstrators is exactly the alternative route designed by Anas after the bridge has closed. It is therefore a demonstrative action to represent " the inconveniences and slowdowns of the road system " that have become the new daily life of farmers, breeders and motorists forced to this forced detour. Slowdowns that risk worsening during the hay season.

"The event is proceeding beyond all expectations - explains Gianfrancesco Decandia , the breeder at the head of the spontaneous committee 'Ponte Diana' -. We register a large participation of people and a very long procession of agricultural vehicles. The town has responded very well" .

Protesters also gathered solidarity from passing motorists and truckers.

Today's protest follows the one staged on 11 June , following the closure of the important road artery that connects the town of Oschiri with that of Tempio Pausania and Alta Gallura, and also connects the centers inhabited areas of the Oschiri hamlets of Su Signaladu, San Leonardo, Balascia, Giagone, Carralzu, Sa Mesana, Lu Pecurili and the Coghinas hydroelectric plant.
