Since yesterday morning, a man has barricaded himself inside his home on Via Agrigento in Olbia, threatening to commit an extreme act. While undergoing treatment for mental health issues, he has repeatedly refused medical attention and mandatory medical treatment, locking himself in his home and preventing anyone from approaching him.

Local firefighter teams arrived on the scene and have been patrolling the entire stretch of road in the Zona Bandinu neighborhood for 24 hours . The area has been cordoned off and patrolled by State Police officers who are trying to bring the man to his senses.

Only relatives and a few friends were able to exchange a few words with the man, who, however, remains locked inside his home, on the first floor of a single-family house. The concern is that he might commit an extreme act against himself or others.
