Bari Sardo, “Keja” beers conquer the podium at the “Barcelona beer challenge”

At the Barcellona beer challenge, a double medal for the Keja brewery from Bari Sardo. The two partners packed a gold for Ruffia (Munich Helles category) and a bronze for Calmedia (India Pale Lager). The Ogliastra company doubled the awards compared to last year, when Calmedia was awarded the silver medal at the contest reserved for craft beers.

"These are awards that make us happy and that we want to share with the other Sardinian breweries that took part in the event," said the company's administrator, Marco Pisanu. The Keja brewery, an intuition of two entrepreneurs from the town, was inaugurated in September 2023 with the first production. In fact, the company was founded three years earlier but the pandemic had frozen the nascent activities.

The Barcellona beer challenge, now in its ninth edition, is an international competition for the best beers that, as usual, has seen the participation of laboratories from different countries. "For us - added Pisanu upon returning from the event that was held in recent days in Catalonia - it is the achievement of an extraordinary result. The medals, recognition of our work, are also dedicated to our customers who place their trust in us. For us it is a source of pride".
