They had dropped anchor to spend the night in front of Cala Napoletana, in the Maddalena archipelago. But the strong wind that started blowing with gusts of 40 knots tore the moorings. The crew members - three foreigners - of a sailing boat that risked crashing into the rocky coast had a bad time.

The worst was avoided only thanks to the arrival of the Coast Guard patrol boat Cp 870, which intervened after the request for help: the military, after having ascertained the good state of health of all the occupants of the boat, recovered the boat to escort it. up to the protected bay of Spalmatore.

At the end of the operations, the captain was sanctioned for mooring in the archipelago waters at night: a practice prohibited to non-residents in La Maddalena.
