New bad weather alert in Sardinia.
The regional Civil Protection issued it on the basis of weather forecasts announcing thunderstorms, even violent ones, on various areas of the island, in particular Campidano, Iglesiente, Montevecchio - Pischinappiu, Tirso and Logudoro.
The risk color indicated is yellow, ie that of "ordinary criticality" for hydraulic / hydrogeological risk.
Following the alert, the Municipality of Cagliari has issued a note which warns that "as a precaution, the opening and closing times to the public of the parks and municipal green areas of Cagliari could undergo localized last-minute changes, of in step with the evolution of the alert ".
The Region, on the other hand, announces that snow is also on its way: “In consideration of the possible snowfalls on the regional territory, expected starting from the weekend, the Regional Civil Protection has promptly activated itself according to the prescriptions provided for by the Snow Plan.
In particular, two Magirus 150 trucks, equipped with a snow plow module, a Ford Ranger 110 to the Municipality of Villagrande Strisali and a Land Rover 110 to the Municipality of Ollolai were assigned to the Municipalities of Desulo and Fonni ”.
"We are ready to face any emergency", says the Councilor for the Environment Gianni Lampis.
"These vehicles, the commissioner specifies, are flanked by seventeen Land Rover 110s, equipped with a snow plow and salt spreader module, entrusted on loan for use by the Regional Civil Protection to the Volunteer Organizations operating in the regional areas where the snow risk is higher. .
Furthermore, the Regional Civil Protection has assigned some operational means to the Forestas Agency on loan for use. The Agency - adds Lampis - is available to ensure the supervision and cleaning of the roads and places of important transit ".
Rain and bad weather will affect the whole Tyrrhenian area in general and should persist until next Sunday.
