First act, this afternoon, of the new investigation opened by the Tempio Prosecutor's Office into the death of Enrico Bacciu , which occurred on 4 March 2019 in a villa in Porto San Paolo. Bacciu, who died at the age of 38, was involved in investigations into an active trafficking gang in Olbia and Rome.

The medical examiner Salvatore Lorenzoni carried out a tissue sample from the remains of the deceased person, after the exhumation of the body which took place in the Porto San Paolo cemetery. Lorenzoni's task is difficult, more than four years after the events , the consultant for Tempio's prosecutors must ascertain the cause of Bacciu's death .

The first investigation, very short, ended with its dismissal and there was talk of an evident suicide . But the lawyers of the victim's family, Fabio Varone and Salvatore Meloni, obtained the reopening of the case by providing the magistrates with new elements on the matter. At least four people would be aware of what happened in Bacciu's house in the 24 hours before the man's death. People who would have participated in a party that lasted several hours.

One of these people, four years ago, provided the Carabinieri with three different versions of the facts, also saying that he had tidied up and cleaned the house after finding Bacciu strangled with a rope . A somewhat absurd story that never convinced the Carabinieri.

It is not excluded that in the next few days there may be entries in the register of suspects of the Tempio Prosecutor's Office.
