The twelfth edition of Ateneika 2026 was presented this morning in the university rector's council chamber, ready to liven up the capital for ten days of sports, music, and university life. The event kicks off on Thursday with the opening ceremony and this year will involve 2,400 registered students, 699 teams, and over 40 guest artists, with Radiolina serving as the official media partner.
Among the names announced are EroCaddeo and Dito nella Piaga, protagonists of a program that will combine concerts, tournaments and moments of aggregation within the university campus.
Rector Francesco Mola expressed great satisfaction: "Ateneika represents the jewel in the crown of the university; it's a machine that works well, and we should be proud of the ability of our young people." The rector also addressed the controversy surrounding the noise from the event: "The CUS is the natural venue for Ateneika. Two years ago, we began installing sound-absorbing panels, and this year we've doubled them. Furthermore, the opening hours are respected until 11 p.m., with exceptions only on weekends."
