This is the balance sheet of the “Green economy”, a complex anti-drug operation still underway initiated by the carabinieri of the Olbia territorial department, who have vanquished a gang dedicated to the production and trafficking of drugs.
The charges range from criminal association aimed at trafficking and dealing in drugs.
In the course of the investigations, a total of 30 thousand Indian hemp plants grown in various illegal plantations throughout Sardinia were seized. The blitz, from the first light of dawn, involved 150 soldiers, the canine units and the men of the Hunters of Sardinia, supported by 2 helicopters, in the provinces of Sassari, Cagliari, Nuoro and Oristano.
