A new serious problem has arisen in the already troubled situation of Olbia Calcio. According to sources close to the professionals who offer consultancy and support to players, the Tempio Pausania Court has received the first bankruptcy petition for the club, specifically for Olbia Calcio 1905. No confirmation or details on the petition have been received from the judicial authorities.
The initiation of the bankruptcy proceedings was reportedly prompted by a creditor for a sum of just over 30,000 euros . This refers to a member who has repeatedly demanded payment of the amount he believes he is owed. The request will now be considered by the bankruptcy registry of the Tempio Pausania Court and, obviously, shortly by the judges.
In recent months, several lawyers, always on behalf of professionals or members, have initiated legal action to recover sums, including from third parties (a credit institution), but, at least not recently, have any bankruptcy petitions been filed.
Olbia Calcio still has the option to block the proceedings, provided the club deems the creditor's claims to be well-founded.
