Andrea Frigo, 58, from Cagliari, is the new head of the ANSA office in Sardinia.
A graduate in Political Science, he began his journalistic career in 1986, becoming a freelance journalist in 1988.
Over the years he has collaborated with various newspapers, starting with the daily newspaper La Nuova Sardegna, then La Nazione, La Stampa, Il Giornale, Il Messaggero Sardo, L'Opinione and Tuttosport, for which he was the correspondent from Cagliari for ten years until 2004.
He also collaborated with the Unione Sarda Group, hosting various sports broadcasts on Radiolina.
He was a national councilor and deputy vice president of USSI (Italian Sports Press Union), as well as president of USSI Sardinia for one term.
He began working with ANSA in 1996, until his hiring in September 1999. He became a professional journalist in 2004. For about ten years, he had held the position of deputy editor of the Cagliari editorial office until his appointment as editor-in-chief, decided by ANSA director Luigi Contu.
At the helm of ANSA in Sardinia, Frigo takes over from Roberta Celot, the new editor of the Naples bureau.
