Eight years in prison. This is the sentence pronounced today by the court of Nuoro against the 61-year-old from the Barony who ended up in trial on charges of sexual acts against two girls, grandchildren of his partner.

The sentence against the man, currently on the loose, only concerns the violence against the eight-year-old girl in 2018, while for the other alleged violence against the second granddaughter - dating back to 2004 - the Prosecutor had asked for a prescription.

The lawyer Giuseppe Floris, defender of the accused, had asked for his acquittal. The lawyer did not want to comment on the sentence nor did he want to anticipate whether he will file an appeal.
