He was trying to board a flight to Great Britain in Alghero , but he had a false passport with him.
The agents of the Air Border Police Office on duty in the Sardinian airport unmasked him.
The man, a 27-year-old non-EU citizen , was then arrested and, following the validation hearing, he was sentenced to be expelled from the national territory.
Verifications of the seized passport are also continuing in Alghero , to ascertain whether criminal organizations involved in counterfeiting are behind its falsification.
