Public works in the spotlight of the Alghero Public Works council commission chaired by Monica Pulina. The 2023/2025 Triennial Program and the 2023 annual list are on the agenda. The councilor for public works, Antonello Peru, was also there and illustrated the important investments planned in the area. A preparatory document for the approval of the next Budget.

«An order of priority of the interventions has been identified - says the president Pulina - taking into account the works necessary for the realization of the uncompleted works and already started on the basis of the previous three-year planning, the executive projects already approved and the maintenance and recovery works of the existing heritage, as well as of the interventions likely to be carried out through concession contracts or public-private partnerships".

For the first year, a sum of 22 million euros is envisaged, for the second year 70 million, while for the third year, 5 million euros are in the budget, for a total of 97 million. The works concern the energy efficiency of the municipal swimming pool, the offices in Sant'Anna and the old town hall in via Columbano. Then the parking in the Don Bosco area, the redevelopment of the former Carabinieri barracks and the new Residential Center for the Elderly. And yet the pilot project aimed at the tourist reuse and marketing of the village of Fertilia, the geodetic construction of the Primary School via XX Settembre, the Sports Hall in Maria Pia, the redevelopment and re-functionalization of the Palacongressi, the restructuring of the football sports field of the Carmine and the civic market.

«The Administration, despite the pandemic period with all that it has entailed, first of all the uncontrolled increase in the prices of raw materials, which has brought companies to their knees and has caused the delivery of works to rise dramatically, tries to maintain the commitment made with the city, with the awareness that much still needs to be done», concludes President Pulina.
