Great success for the Crai Alghero Half Marathon, last weekend. It was the celebration of the almost 1400 who invaded the coastal road that leads from the port to Fertilia .

An eight-kilometer long asphalt ribbon crowded with a colorful carousel of multicolored jerseys representing almost all the Sardinian companies affiliated with Fidal and over twenty associations from the peninsula with the addition of many other runners who arrived for the occasion from Belgium, Poland, Spain, France and Ireland. The seventh edition of the Crai Alghero Half Marathon officially goes into the archives with the label of the edition that has recorded the highest number of participants since 2017 to date. The winner of the half marathon was Francesco Mei (Academy Olbia, 1h11'20) who repeated last year's success obtained however in the 10km. He got the better of the 2023 winner Francesco Dejas (Atl. San Gavino) who came in second (1h13'01) delayed by one minute and forty seconds, from whom he snatched the course record by improving it by almost two minutes. For the third step of the podium Giuseppino Cossu (Cagliari Marathon, 1h13'46). In the women's 21 km Arianna Lutteri (Asd Team Km Sport, 1h25'16) won, creating a lead of over three minutes between her and the second place of Chiara Milanesi (Runners Bergamo). Third position as in 2023 for Adriana Guadalupe Dessì (Atl. Ogliastra, 1h30'55). The regional title of the Ten Thousand went to Gabriele Motzo (Isola Run, 32'06) winner ahead of Salvatore Mei and Oleksander Choban (SportIsola La Maddalena) who won the 2022 half marathon in Alghero. Claudia Pinna (Cus Cagliari, 36'48) won the regional women's 10km title. Victory by a wide margin with Roberta Ferru (Cagliari Atletica Leggera, 39'30) second and Veronica Pala (Ichnos Sassari) third. For her third consecutive podium in Alghero.
