He tries to buy a Mini Cooper on Facebook but they scam him. The singular episode dates back to 30 September 2020, a story which, having ended in trial, saw judge Elena Barmina in court yesterday sentencing an Alghero man to 8 months, accused not only of fraud, but also of specific recidivism.
The latter, defended by the lawyer Danilo Mattana, put the car up for sale three years ago on the social network, which he probably did not own, and, after reaching a telephone agreement with a Sicilian buyer, he had a bank transfer of 6 thousand euros sent to him.
A sum made out to another person, assisted by the lawyer Valeria Testoni, which was instead acquitted. But the buyer received neither the car nor the documents to formalize the transfer of ownership. Hence the complaint and the criminal proceedings which ended yesterday, the prosecutor was Ilaria Achenza, and the reasons for which will arrive in 90 days.
