During the last public order committee convened by the Prefect of Nuoro, and requested by the Attorney General Luigi Patronaggio, which was also attended by the Nuoro prosecutor, Daniele Rosa, following the attacks on the two ET wanted men in Lula , a strengthening of controls and video surveillance had been planned.
Today the commander of the Carabinieri Legion “Sardegna”, General Francesco Rizzo, also arrived in Lula, accompanied by the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Nuoro, Colonel Gennaro Cassese.
The two commanders paid an official visit to the Carabinieri station in Lula. The meeting represented an important opportunity for discussion and a strong signal of respect for the military, who daily ensure security, legality, and public order in an area of strategic importance to the Nuoro hinterland.
During the visit, the senior officer expressed his sincere appreciation to all the station staff for their dedication, spirit of sacrifice, and high sense of duty with which they carry out their service to the local community, emphasizing how the Carabinieri station has always been the first and essential point of reference for citizens.
The Legion commander then wanted to extend special and heartfelt thanks to the soldiers of the Monte Pizzinnu Squadron and the members of the “Sardegna” Helicopter Hunter Squadron.
«Your constant commitment and your widespread presence in the most inaccessible areas of the territory constitute a fundamental pillar for the prevention and fight against local crime», highlighted the officer, recalling the importance of the synergies between the territorial garrisons and the departments specialized in patrolling and controlling mountain and rural areas.
