A road accident occurred this evening in Sestu , on state highway 131 , near the Mondo Convenienza store. Four vehicles were involved in the crash. Two people were injured : one was taken to the Santissima Trinità hospital in Cagliari with a yellow code , while the other fled the scene before emergency services arrived.

Law enforcement officers arrived on the scene to investigate. All drivers were breathalyzed, with negative results. The impact caused long lines of traffic to form, and traffic was severely slowed, with cars queuing at a crawl.
