A traffic accident occurred this evening on State Road 729, near the airport turnoff towards Olbia. Three vehicles were involved in the collision, including a vehicle carrying a rally car on a trailer. For reasons yet to be determined, the vehicle collided with another car in transit, causing serious damage to the vehicles and overturning the load onto the roadway.

The Olbia Fire Department responded to the scene, securing the area, and emergency responders transported one person to the hospital for evaluation. The Highway Police conducted the necessary investigations to clarify the circumstances of the accident.

Traffic was slowed and some temporary closures were implemented to allow for safety operations, causing disruption to traffic in the accident area. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
