On Tuesday 9 June, starting at 8.30 am, Abbanoa technicians will complete the maintenance work, started last Thursday, on the distribution pipeline exiting the Monte Urpinu reservoirs towards the eastern area of Cagliari .

A crack measuring 600 millimeters in diameter was identified in a public area near the former La Fattoria restaurant at the foot of the hill . An initial bandage was placed on Thursday, and the work will be completed on Tuesday.

"The decision to split the work over two separate days," a statement reads, "was made to limit inconvenience to users. This is a primary pipeline that ensures water supply to the neighborhoods of La Palma, Medau Su Cramu, Poetto, Quartiere del Sole, San Bartolomeo, Sant'Elia, and Via Fleming. On Thursday, thanks to a series of network repairs carried out by Abbanoa technicians, only a limited number of customers were left without water."

The situation is expected to return to normal by 6:30 PM, when the intervention should be completed and the operator's technicians will be able to carry out the necessary network operations to restore service. "Any anomalies can be reported to the Abbanoa fault reporting service by calling the toll-free number 800.022.040, which is active 24 hours a day."
