Orgosolo. The symbolic strength of Pratobello is everywhere: in the title of the bill to drive back energy speculators, in the black and white image that stands out in the Orgosolo auditorium and takes us back to 1969 and the desire for self-determination of the territory, in the words of mayors and activists who call for unity and pave the way, i.e. the collection of signatures in support of the legislative initiative to be presented at the end of September. 10,000 would be enough, but the goal is 50,000 signatures to give more strength to that proposal which gives legal form to the widespread mobilization of recent months to stop wind and photovoltaic parks.

«Our objective is to collect the greatest number of signatures to give consistency to the proposal, it is a democratic response, in addition to taking to the streets and doing sit-ins. We want to urge the Sardinian parliament to seriously deal with the problems that will arise from this enormous demand for wind energy installations which are a prelude to the total destruction of Sardinia, to wake up our regional councilors to make a serious law that protects the island", explains Pasquale Mereu, mayor of Orgosolo doing the honors in the crowded auditorium.

«The law - he adds - arises from the Sardinian statute, it refers to the primary competence of the Region in the urban planning sector. It aims to block new plants and those in progress with new urban planning regulations for all territories." The applause comes when he says: «This law is for Sardinia, not against anyone». And he explodes again when he adds: " It makes me laugh that people are trying to collect signatures for a referendum that wants to abolish differentiated autonomy when we have this instrument which is one of our strong points ."
