A school employee has been placed under house arrest on serious charges of aggravated sexual assault and stalking against a young student at a high school in Nuoro. According to the investigation, the alleged incident occurred in early 2025, inside the school where the man worked. The student, deeply shaken, reported the incident to some of her classmates. Word of the incident then reached the attention of several teachers, who reported the situation, prompting the girl's family to contact the State Police.

The Nuoro Police Headquarters' Flying Squad has thus launched an investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office. In recent days, the Nuoro Court's investigating judge, Alessandra Ponti, issued a precautionary house arrest order, granting the request of Deputy Prosecutor Elena Tres.

The arrested man, who has no criminal record, has already been questioned, during which—assisted by his lawyer, Stefano Stochino—he denied all charges. The incident has caused dismay within the school community.
