Representing the Municipality of Alghero , the Councillor for the Environment Raniero Selva joined the administrators of the G20Spiagge network in Sorrento , to work towards the creation of the first national hub for the protection of the environment of Italian marine destinations.

Climate, waste, erosion, traffic, resource management: the topics addressed during the summit in Sorrento. "We have decided to work together, overcoming political alignments, to transform our cities into laboratories of environmental innovation . We are looking for partners, companies, research institutes to face this common challenge. Italian beaches can, and must, become a model of green and blue economy", commented the mayor of Alghero on his social page.

Meanwhile , the date of the G20S organized in Alghero from May 14 to 16 is approaching . The 20 major destinations of the peninsula associated in the network, which count from 1 to 7 million tourist presences, will develop a comparison that is proving to be central for the sector that counts the largest national tourism GDP.
