A large fire broke out this afternoon in Isca Manna, in Serdiana, affecting a large wooded area .

The Quartu Sant'Elena Special Operations Unit (NOS) with three water tankers, the French Fire Brigade, the Forestry Corps, and Forestas responded to the scene with personnel and equipment. Two Canadairs, which are collecting water at Margine Rosso, and a helicopter from the Villasalto base also responded. The DOS (Fire Extinguishing Operations Director), part of the Dolianova Forestry Corps patrol, is coordinating the operations.

The flames, fueled by wind and high temperatures, are making extinguishing operations complex. The exact extent of the fire and the environmental damage are still being assessed.
