The non-profit association "Qua la zampa" turned to the Calasetta carabinieri to file a complaint against unknown persons for mistreatment and killing of animals.

A volunteer found the tortured body of a kitten of a few months in via Pola: "They threw it on the ground and against a wall - said the president Laura Palmieri - we exclude the accident, it is a killing". The blood traces on the wall would leave no doubt about the cruelty with which the kitten was repeatedly slammed against the outer wall of a house.

The Calasetta carabinieri received the report of the volunteers in disbelief: "There have been other suspicious cases - added the president - but this is the first in which there can be no doubts about the facts".

The volunteers said they were very worried about the situation and are confident in the work of the police to trace those responsible.
