A terrifying fire erupts near Villacidro, sending fear into the hearts of residents.

A large fire is ravaging an area just outside Villacidro, in the Santa Maria area. The flames, fanned by strong winds, started near the entrance to the town and are spreading toward the Gutturu 'e Forru area, as well as Vallermosa and Villaspeciosa. The plume of smoke is visible for several kilometers, and the situation is critical.

A construction company was damaged and several vehicles were destroyed . In Gutturu 'e Forru, a farmer's home was evacuated.

The DOS (Director of Firefighting Operations) of the local Forestry Corps patrol is coordinating the firefighting operations on site. Two Canadair helicopters from Olbia, an Army helicopter, and an Air Force helicopter have also arrived to support the regional fleet .
