A cyclist was struck and killed overnight on the Nuraxi–Riola Sardo road: rescue efforts were unsuccessful.

Tragedy struck overnight on provincial road 292, which connects Nuraxi to Riola Sardo, where a woman of about 38 died after being hit by a car while cycling.

The accident occurred around midnight near the roundabout. The driver immediately stopped and was the first to attempt to help while waiting for emergency services. Emergency medical services from Oristano arrived on the scene, but there was nothing they could do for the woman: she was already dead.

Law enforcement officers conducted investigations to reconstruct the accident dynamics and determine any responsibilities.
