Thomas Marrocu (better known as Tommy) lives in Quartucciu. He is 34 years old and has many passions and is a super fan of Cagliari, in fact he never misses the stadium. Unfortunately, life has not smiled on him since childhood, when muscular dystrophy immobilized him and he was forced to stay in a wheelchair. He speaks with his eyes thanks to an aid and in the meantime he continues to try to live life as normally as possible. To get around he needs a car equipped for his needs. The Fiat Doblò he has been using for years is now old and, in particular, is no longer suitable for transporting people in wheelchairs. For this reason, he urgently needs a new vehicle, which has all the necessary features to allow him to travel safely.
His support administrator, Nicola Onano, has started a fundraiser on the site Gofundme.com (link here ). "Unfortunately, after the loss of his mother and the worsening of his father's health, Tommy had to face life independently," says Onano.
"I benefit from a regional funding that almost completely covers the cost of the operators who assist him 24 hours a day. This funding, however, is not enough to pay the salaries of the assistants, as well as their holidays, so he is forced to draw on his disability pension, which however runs out quickly, making it impossible to meet other expenses". It is therefore impossible to be able to buy his car out of pocket, suitable for his needs. Onano explains that he also contacted Cagliari Calcio. Nicola Riva, son of Rombo di Tuono, shared the fundraiser on his Facebook profile, "I contacted him and he responded positively by sharing the link. We must reach the figure of 30,000 euros, we hope in the good heart of the people".
