Five people were traveling in a rental car when they were spotted and stopped by a local police patrol on Via Fulgenzio, in Monserrato . Four minors and a 28-year-old man were in the car. Inside, local police recovered doses of cocaine, over €800 in cash, and a knife. The adult was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to distribute. The young suspect appeared this morning before Judge Simone Nespoli, represented by attorney Benedetta Mauro. The suspect was released pending trial on the same charge, scheduled for March 24.

The prosecutor had requested a precautionary measure. The juveniles will be handled by the competent court. The raid was not a random occurrence: the local police were conducting a patrol in the area when they became suspicious of the car's movements. At a stop, the driver stopped the vehicle and subsequently searched it, resulting in the recovery of the drugs, cash, and knife. All the juveniles' cell phones were also seized.

Mayor Locci commented on the raid: "The local police and the Carabinieri have been engaged in a series of operations across the territory for the safety of citizens for some time now. I can only thank them for the results achieved so far."
