Estimates for holidays also reach +30% and embarking on a ship or plane or eating at a restaurant or renting accommodation becomes a business or a drain.

But, while consumer protest mounts, entrepreneurs explain: "The increases are in line with inflation."

And then there are exceptions: in Pula and Domus de Maria, for example, the price increases remain low so as not to lose visitors.
