«A great opportunity to allow Sardinia to face the energy transition with investments that will make it the protagonist of a true green innovation».
This was declared by the regional councilor for Industry Anita Pili , after the approval of the resolution of the Solinas junta which gives way to the use of the 21 million euros , arriving with the funds of the Pnrr, for the realization of production projects of green hydrogen in abandoned industrial areas of the island .
"With this decision - continues the Councilor for Industry - the Council chooses to promote investments that allow for the diversification of energy sources, with the aim of making our regional energy system autonomous".
"The agreement - explains Pili - in compliance with the milestones and targets approved by the European Commission, provides that the abandoned industrial areas are used as experimental units for the production of hydrogen, through local RES plants located in the same industrial complex or in neighboring areas . The measure must also, as required by EU directive 2018/2001, support the production of electrolytic hydrogen starting from renewable energy sources or from grid electricity".
«We follow up and implement the guidelines of the PNRR, in line with the objectives of the Integrated National Plan for Energy and Climate (PNIEC) and the European directives, not least the RePowerEU, to stimulate the production and introduction of green hydrogen and the diffusion of renewable energy and heat in the productive fabric of the Union” concludes the exponent of the Giunta Solinas».
