Four weekends, between September and October , dedicated to the knowledge of Romanesque art in Sardinia . The third edition of the Giornate del Romanico starts next Saturday and Sunday, an event that involves over 60 medieval churches of the island that for the occasion can be visited for free.

The Cathedral of San Pantaleo in Dolianova is among the first 12 monuments open to the public .

Next Sunday, guided tours without reservations are scheduled from 11 am to 5 pm. The initiative is promoted by the Fondazione del Romanico in Sardegna in collaboration with about 60 municipalities that will offer access to their monuments with the help of expert guides who will illustrate the historical and architectural importance of each monument.

The Cathedral of San Pantaleo, dating back to the 12th-13th century, is one of the most important testimonies of Romanesque art in Sardinia.
