The former Rossoblu striker scored in the 27th minute of the first half, capitalizing on a headed pass from Ndour and, one-on-one with the goalkeeper, beating him with a low, angled shot.

Fiorentina held the game in check, though there was a lot of tension on the pitch towards the end. Ndour doubled the lead in the fifth minute of added time.
