Another big name in national politics arriving in Sardinia for the electoral campaign in view of the regional elections on 25 February.

This is Carlo Calenda, leader of Action, a party that supports Renato Soru's candidacy for governor.

The former Minister of Economic Development will be on the island on 10 and 11 February.

Four stages are planned, in which he will also present his latest book “Il Patto. Beyond the lost thirty years".

The first appointment is in Sassari , Saturday at 11am, for a round table with the aspiring president Soru and Federico Pizzarotti (President of +Europa), at the Grazia Deledda hotel.

In the afternoon the arrival in Nuoro for the inauguration of the headquarters of the party which last year formalized Matteo Renzi's divorce from Italia Viva, a party which on the island presented neither symbol nor candidates but which also gave the endorsement to Soru, receiving, however, in response the clarification that "there is no political alliance".

The next day, Sunday 11th, Calenda will be in Iglesias , at the Azione headquarters at 10am, for a meeting with the unions and a delegation of workers from Eurallumina, Portovesme srl and Sider Alloys, while in the evening, at 6pm, he will present the his book at the THotel in Cagliari.
