“Stop by me, inside my voice” reads one of the verses of the first song of Chiara Effe 's new album, released on September 21st and entitled “Via Giardini” . And that's where we stay. His voice captivates and cradles, steals your heart and leads it to dance, but also to get excited, to reflect, to play, to love. Twelve tracks, born thanks to the happy marriage between Chiara, her music and her publisher Roy Paci who, fully grasping the details and meaning of this album, promotes its release, thus christening the beginning of a collaboration.

“Via Giardini” arrives 9 years after the first album “Via Aquiloni” (2014), years which were dedicated to music and which constituted a journey of which the new album represents the worthy conclusion. A journey made up of concerts, prestigious awards, study and maturation of an artist who dedicates body and soul to music.

Chiara Figus (aka Chiara Effe) has been writing music since she was very young, cradled by the sea waves of her hometown, Cagliari , and stimulated by her family, who have always been devoted to notes. «There has always been singing and playing in my house, since the lyrics were written with the typewriter and the notes were added in pencil». To date, she boasts a remarkable CV: three degrees under her belt (Modern Literature and Philosophy, Ethnomusicology and Jazz Singing at the Conservatory) and winner, among others, of the Fabrizio De Andrè Award in 2018, the Mario Panseri Award and the Premio dei Premi in 2019 .

Chiara is an artist impossible to confine to a particular genre: «My background passes through Brazilian music and reaches jazz and swing. But each song speaks to me about a different sound. Songwriting , which is my signature, starts from the text and, consequently, can be nourished by any musical genre."

His albums both have the names of a street, a curious and not meaningless choice: «The first is the street where I wrote the first album, Via Aquiloni. Via Giardini, however, is the street of my home , in Cagliari. For me, this album represents an album of photographs: it contains my story over the last 10 years and it is as if, listening to it, I can see myself in the people I have met, in the things I have done, in the experiences I have lived, in the emotions that I feel. have grown."

Chiara now lives in Turin. His choice is considered, and not random: «I'm growing a lot, it's a city where I find comparison and a lot of possibilities from a professional point of view, but I need the sun of my city . When I'm ready I will bring my work to Cagliari, and I knew this from day one." In Chiara Effe's imagination Cagliari is always in the background and all its veins "link it to that sea". Her favorite phrase from the album, not surprisingly, is «I am linked to these people who have the simplicity of a goal», from the song “Undici”. A declaration of love towards the Sardinians, which makes it clear that her faith "is devoted to that saddle that asks her to stay".
