Learn English in a Month. The title of the guide, on newsstands tomorrow with L'Unione Sarda and Il Sole 24 Ore (€1.50 for both newspapers plus €1 for the book), says it all. The author, Matteo Salvo, has degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Pedagogical Sciences, and Psychology. The method

Each volume consists of several topics complemented by related exercises divided into stages. The last exercise of each stage will tell you which content to review and at what intervals to memorize the information. Before moving on to the next stage, the reader will have to respond to a series of "keywords" that guarantee complete understanding of the topic. Over 1,100 illustrations help the reader memorize more than 900 basic vocabulary words, including all the main grammatical rules, as well as verb conjugation and the paradigms of irregular verbs. The author says: "We will use creativity and the association of ideas, creating associations of images so paradoxical that remembering them will be easy and fun. In many ways, we will return to thinking with the creative style typical of the child within each of us: it is no coincidence that children are by far the fastest people at learning a language.
