A man, 33 years of unjust detention and a fight that becomes a symbol of resistance and dignity. Friday, December 6, at 6:30 p.m., the Caesar's Hotel in Cagliari will host the presentation of the book “Io Sono Innocente”, written by Beniamino Zuncheddu and Mauro Trogu.
The event was organized by the Lions Club Cagliari Monte Urpinu, not only to tell the story of a man who unjustly spent half of his life in prison, but also to reflect on themes such as justice, freedom and the power of hope.
The book is the testimony of Beniamino Zuncheddu, protagonist of an emblematic judicial affair: a man convicted and imprisoned for 33 long years, despite his innocence. With the support of the lawyer Mauro Trogu, who will speak during the evening, Zuncheddu has transformed his personal drama into a story as influential as it is necessary.
Among the guests of the evening, Irene Testa, Guarantor of the prisoners of Sardinia, who will offer an in-depth analysis of the penitentiary system and the rights of persons deprived of liberty.
The meeting will not only be a moment of listening and reflection, but also an opportunity to support charitable causes: the evening will end with an aperitif whose proceeds will be donated to charitable projects.
“I Am Innocent” is not just a book, but a cry of truth that resonates for anyone who believes in a humane and impartial justice system.
