"Dear Union,
I am writing to report what happened to me and to other patients yesterday morning in the hospital in Cagliari, Ophthalmology department.
All residents outside Cagliari, regularly summoned for hospitalization and surgery and already subjected to the necessary examinations and checks, we waited a few hours, only to learn that a sudden agitation of the anesthetists did not allow us to proceed.
We have been sent home, not knowing when our interventions will take place.
Since the intervention also involved an overnight stay in the hospital, some had already authorized family members to return home by car and did not know how to manage their unexpected return (there were those who came from places even more than 150 kilometers away). The surgery I have to undergo is classified as 'urgent'; I assume that of other patients is too.
I wonder if actions of this type, with interruption without notice of public service, have legal correctness or are they not rather to be considered guilty of infringement to be prosecuted ".
